Karen has more than 20 years experience providing support, assessment and psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients. She uses a person-centred approach and evidence-based therapies to help clients manage challenges and improve wellbeing. Her areas of interest include trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, self-esteem, disability, chronic pain and health conditions, workplace and school bullying, dementia and memory concerns, and helping clients adjust and journey through major life changes.
Karen is a certified EMDR practitioner. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, an evidence-based therapy used to help people process distressing or traumatic experiences.
Karen works with children and adults of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
Karen values collaborative care and works with multidisciplinary teams and allied health professionals to support client outcomes. She is a registered STAP supervisor for intern and provisional psychologists and also provides supervision to registered psychologists, social workers and other allied health professionals.
